10 Degrees + 25 mph Wind Gusts + Driving Snow =

quite the fun 5 mile run. It really wasn't all that bad. Well, at least when I was running with the wind and not against the wind driven snow. That had a tendency to make visibility a bit difficult as the sleet-like snow was pelting my eyeballs and freezing my eyelashes together. I really was never cold though, other than my bum when I was running half of the route with the wind. I am just glad to be getting out. The pic is post run when I got inside. All the liquid on me was ice when I was outside. I was getting some strange looks from traffic passing by... when I could actually see them that is. :)

Now there is some determination to get back on the road. Way to go!

I'm still wimping out and heading for the treadmill (right now it is the only time I'm actually warm). It finally got to 20 degrees today - feels like a heatwave!

WTG! That takes a little HTFUing. It was coming down so hard here and blowing that I did yet another TM run (I'm more afraid of drivers that can't see me than I am of the actual weather)--5 in a row this week, quite a streak. Today I ran until the TM stopped at the 1 hour mark. Long hour. An hour outdoors flies.

Thanks, Karen. Nothing wrong with being sane on a treadmill. If it were a convenient option for me, I would likely take it as well. Like Zoomy said, I fear the drivers as well, especially since I run on a main road with lots of traffic and for half of the run, I really couldn't see them.

I agree, Zoomy, an hour outside goes by WAAAAY faster than an hour on a treadmill. But, at least you're running! ;)

Hopefully the weather is turning the corner today for all three of us.

Rick - thanks for giving me a little more motivation. I ducked out of my 9 miler this morning (3 degrees), however, I'll try it tomorrow morning (hopefully closer to 20 degrees).

Send some snow our way...we still haven't gotten any of it here in the DC area.

Did ya get out today, Mike? We haven't gotten a ton of snow, but sounds like substantially more than you there. I'd be glad to send some your way. The boys would probably revel in it, I'm sure! Hope all's well with you, Sherry, and the boys. ;)

We're both back!! Love it!! Can't wait to virtually train with you again this winter and spring. So cool to hear you and Tammy are running a half together. You're both going to rock!!

Hey Rick! Are you beginning to thaw out yet? How is the running going?
